Dispatch is a service for writing and sending beautiful personal letters to friends and family. These terms govern your use of the Dispatch iOS app, web reader, and related services (together, "Dispatch" or "the Service"). By creating an account or using Dispatch, you agree to these terms.
We've written these in plain language because we believe you should actually understand what you're agreeing to.
Everything you create on Dispatch belongs to you — your words, your photos, your stories. We don't claim any ownership over your content, and we never will.
By using Dispatch, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and deliver your content to your intended recipients. This license exists solely to make the service work — storing your letter on our servers, displaying it to the person you sent it to, and rendering it on the web reader. We don't use your content for any other purpose.
When you delete a letter or your account, we remove your content from our servers. Backup copies are purged within 90 days.
Dispatch offers optional AI-powered features including writing polish, tone adjustment, and translation. Here's what you should know:
Dispatch is for sending personal letters to people you know and care about. You agree not to use it to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, particularly for harassment, spam, or illegal activity. If we need to take action:
We plan to offer a print and mail service that lets you send physical copies of your letters. When this feature launches, the following additional terms will apply:
We work hard to keep Dispatch running smoothly, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service. Servers need maintenance, bugs happen, and the internet is imperfect. We will do our best to notify you in advance of planned downtime.
We may update, modify, or retire features over time. For significant changes, we'll give reasonable notice through the app or by email.
The Dispatch name, logo, design, and underlying technology are owned by Pookie B Co. These terms don't grant you any right to use our branding or intellectual property beyond normal use of the service.
Dispatch is provided "as is" and "as available." We do our best to keep your data safe and the service running, but to the fullest extent permitted by law:
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. If we have a disagreement, let's try to work it out first — email us and we'll do our best to resolve things directly. If we can't, any legal proceedings will take place in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or an in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Minor clarifications or formatting changes may be made without notice.
Continued use of Dispatch after updated terms take effect means you accept those changes. If you disagree with updated terms, you can delete your account before they take effect.
